Laser eye surgery. Recommendations?

I want to have laser eye surgery, but when i look on the internet there are so many to choose from!!

Is there anyone out there who can recommend a good one?

I am in the south east of england and would be possible to travel to london!

Many people have laser eye surgery and they do great. But you need to know this. A friend of mine had it done and developed an infection. Then he had bad vision that went into double vision. He could not go back to glasses or contacts, once you have the surgery, if it doesn't go well, going back to glasses or contacts is not an option. If you come out worse, you stay worse. Go see your ophthalmologist, they will discuss the different types of surgery with you, and then you can choose. It may depend on who is available in your area and what type of laser techniques they are trained from. Good Luck to you!

I reckon there's two Lasek and Lasik. I had....der can't remember, but I think it is worth mentioning that when you have your vision corrected. It means corrected within your normal age range. So I went from having bad long sight to 20/20 long sight, but now I have to wear glasses for reading because I'm an old gal and me sight matches my age. If you see what I mean

You talk to people in your area who have had it done and make sure they are happy with their results. Ask the ophthalmologist how many laser procedures he has done and then keep checking until you feel secure...you only get one set of eyes so don't jump into this without investigation.

i hope you are aware of negative sides of laser surgery like slower response, for example after laser surgery you can not be soldier or racing driver because you will not be able to notice changes so fast as with normal eyes, even when you use glasses.

My mother had it....she was scared...but when she had it, it would instantly.....but it doesnt work for everyone....all i can say is try it!

i got mine done at Optical Express,
low interest rate on the finance, highly recommend them

Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Wait a while, as there is a new safer method being used that has just come out. Don't know all the details but give it some time to prove itself and for more places to use it.
