Is there laser eye surgery for -1.75 power?????

im planning to go for laser eye surgery but i heard dat if ur eye sight power is just -1.75 den u cant have it done:( can smbdy please give me some info on it whether i can go for it or not???

If there are no other contraindications for lasik, you can correct -1.75 power.

There is also another, safer, alternative you should consider - natural vision correction. It consists of eye exercises and techniques for improving vision. Eye exercises require persistence, but they do work. I was able to completely improve my own vision from -1.00 D within a few months of doing eye exercises and I can see perfectly ever since.

This program helped me out a lot:

Best regards,

you can have laser for any power! But then again, if your eye has some health conditions that causes it to be dangerous to perform the operation, then no, you can't have it done. Your opthamalogist (doctor that does your eye surgery) should give you a consultation and tell you if your'e a candidate or not

You can have it done. They can do it even if you have 20/50 vision. I was talking to my eye doctor about it and he told me that. I have -2.50 in one eye and -2.75 in the other. You know its about $2000 an eye right? so thats $4000 bucks. I want it done too! I'm tired of not being able not to see anything! I paint in abstract...maybe I do because that's how I see with my glasses off haha. Good luck!

if you are under the age of 21 DON'T GET IT DONE! By the time you turn 30 your eyes will be right where you started before the surgery if not worse. Happened to a friend of mine.

You can have LASIK at any power. Depending on what you are seeing 20/40, 20/50 etc. will depend on if it will be worth it to you to have done now or wait till it is worse, your vision can always change later on either due to age or pregnancy or other reasons. ( always ask about enhancement plans when you do go in for lasik consults for that reason) What you see in your glasses or contacts is what lasik can do for you most times. Make sure you research your doctors wells.
