Larynx cancer?? |
My mothers boyfriend has larynx cancer and so she says it has spread in other parts like his neck lower back nose... She told me he is in a pretty late stage but i have not noticed any changes in his voice. Can someone tell me everything about larynx cancer and what the chances of survival he will have??? Is he gonna live? Thanks It is possible to have laryngeal cancer without changes in the voice. It does not always affect the vocal cords, as there are other structures in and around the larynx which can be involved.. All I know is that usually with this cancer the person ends up with a hole in their throat (tracheotomy). Not too pretty to see. If it is in the late stages, I don't know if he will survive. Best wishes. If they do surgery, I have a feeling it will not be a pretty picture, but you have to do what the oncologist says to survive.Only the oncologist can tell him for sure how it will go, but it doesn't sound good when you say late stage. |
