If it doesn't go away on it's on and you continue to suffer from it, you might want to go to the Dr., to make sure that's all you have. If you have laryngitis, you usually can't talk, or if you can, it comes out in an awful sounding whisper. Your throat is usually sore and it hurts to swallow, also feels like your throat is a bit swollen. That's about all I can remember about it as I haven't had it in years. The best cure if you have it, don't talk, (rest your vocal cords) drink plenty of hot liquids if possible especially tea with honey, you could rub Vicks vapor rub on your throat or there's a liquid your doctor can prescribe which you would gargle. Also try a humidifier. |
