My friend has laryngitis could i have gotten it? |
my friend was over the other day(saturday) and we were drinking and we shared drinks and yesterday(monday) she was diagnosed with laryngitis and now my throat is sore and i feel like coughing and its a sore dry feeling. do you think i got it? and also she was given drugs for it so it was bacterial and i know its an airbourne disease and there were alot of people here that day. 鈾?If her laryngitis was viral then no it is not contagious... however if its bacterial then yes its contagious. Here is some info on bacterial laryngitis: One can have both viral and bacterial infections active at the same time and a viral infection can create the environment for a super bacterial infection to occur. That is why some MDs prescribe antibiotics when a viral infection is present, not that I agree with this practice, especially when we are in the throes of super bug dominance...but that's the way it is. |
