Mono and laryngitis?

what is mono and laryngitis and how to you get them?? and please if you are not going to send a link, then please put them into words that i can understand. i am 13 and i don't have a good vocabulary. thank you! :)

i only know that mono is a disease that is most commonly spread when two people kiss and one of them already has it--it makes you tired and weak for a long time and it can be very dangerous because your spleen swells up and if it presses against anything it can burst....
