Tips or tricks for clearing up Laryngitis faster?

I didn't feel to great when I woke up Sunday morning: Stuffy nose, itchy ears, congestion. By yesterday morning, it had escalated into a very hoarse voice. By last night, I sounded like a frog. This morning I had a slight sore throat, but now it only hurts when I sneeze. No runny nose....Yet. I'm on my sixth cup of hot tea with honey. Any other tips for clearing laryngitis up faster? I'm going snowboarding tomorrow (first time- so excited :)) How long does laryngitis last? Does it just sound like a bug or strep throat?

Oh, and I have cough-not a constant cough but every couple hours.

Get lots of sleep, keep your room humid with a humidifier, drink plenty of water, take vitamins and eat protein to promote healing, stay away from sweet and sweet drinks which can promote infection. Sleep promotes healing.

Put Vics Vapor Rub on the soles of your feet. I know it sounds weird, but it works. The stuff absorbs quicker from there.
It probably won't clear it up completely, but it will help some of the symptoms for a while.
