Lactose Intolerance...?

I think that I might be lactose intolerant.
what are usually the symptoms of it?

I have it and it involves a number of symptoms. I visited with a doctor seeking a cure/remedy... there is none. All you can do is watch the amount of dairy you have each day. It can get kinda embarrassing if your in a quiet place and the only thing talking is your tummy. *sigh*

Here is a link offering more info.

Gastrointestinal pain, diahrrea, gas. Go to the store and get some Lactaid. They are pills you take before you drink milk or eat dairy products that helps with the pain.

Do you feel nauseous/throw up after drinking milk or eating dairy products? Well, here's an "Informal test" I found on Wikipedia:

1. Drink 2-4 cups of milk on an empty stomach.

2. For 48 hours abstain from consuming alcohol or any food or medication (may reduce bacterial activity and falsify results) containing dairy in the forms of lactose, whey, or milk solids.

3. Monitor for signs of intestinal discomfort, nausea, vomiting or severe headache / migraine.

4. In presence of these symptoms, lactose intolerance is to be suspected and one should seek medical advice.
