I am lactose Intolerance and have a question about it!!!!?

I have been lactose intolerant for ages now and was wondering if anyone can answer me a question.

I have really really really smelly burps at least once a week. It smells like "bad eggs" or "fermenting bad eggs" and its driving me and my partner mad coz it smells so bad and plus i can taste it for ages afterwards.

My question is does anyone else have this and is it a symptom of my Lactose intolerance or something else coz i have IBS as well but i cant see it being my IBS.

Please if anyone can give me advice i would be VERY grateful!!

ya thats probably your lactose intolerance the same thing happens to me except its in the form of a fart. Even if you do take a lactose pill it'll still happen the only way to avoid it is to not eat so much diary.

cut down on drinking milk if you like milk buy goats milk can get it from most health shops for your bad breath burps take some acidophophilus with pectin tablets its a healthy gut bacteria

I personally don't have lactose intolerance, though I can't drink milke cos of my IBD, but one of my friends has it. She said it's because any milk, or lactose, in her body ferments, making her have wind that is like bad eggs, because it actually goes bad in her.

Try keeping a strict lactose-free diet, and in the meantime keep something lactose-free yet minty in your pocket for emergencies.

the smell of rotten eggs is caused by free sulfur in your food, when it is metabolised by certain bacteria.
If you have a lactose intolerance, you should avoid mostly milk (cheese doesn't contain much of lactulose).
IBS is sometimes connected to inflammation of the bowels and this can cause smelly winds.

Accept it - farting is a fact of life.

i suffer from IBS,you do loose wind alot, have bloated stomach and other stuff. but i neaver suffered with smell of bad eggs unless it was something i eaten. keep an eye on your diet, cause sometimes there is dairy in some products
