Is im lactose intolerance?

This all started friday morning i had very bad bloating in my stomach and gas and i had very bad diarrhea, so i went to school and i drank some milk and i felt very worse, so i went home and my pain lasted for a couple of hours, so the next morning i had a bowl of cereal, and all the problems i had before came, so my mom said i might be lactose intolerance so after that i stop drinking milk for a while and dairy products and my pain havent come, so today i had a cheese burger and before i had the cheese burger i wasnt bloating or nothing, so when i ate the cheese burger all my problems came back gas, diarrhea, am im really lactose intolerance?

i'd say so.. seems like your two experiments proved it. i heard some people can get their tolerance back.. but i wouldn't try it unless you're int he comfort of your own home for a whole day.

well sounds like you know how to check for it and what the symptoms are.if you can tolerate being with out milk or milk products then leave them out of your diet,if you can't try lact aid, there are several different brands that you can take before meals that might stop these reactions, and maybe you can get back to the milk products ,if not leave then alone , but i would find a vit.d and calcium substitute to make up for the milk products.

I had been drinking milk every day for my entire life with no problem and then one summer every time I had ice cream I'd have the same symptoms, bloating, cramps, diarrhea, then it got progressively worse until I couldn't have cheese or any milk heavier than skim milk. Go see your doctor for some definitive tests, he can tell you what you can do. For mine I just take Lactaid before I'm goin to have dairy

I'm not a doctor but I'd say you're lactose intolerant.
If you want to test it out at home, do this:

Purchase Digestive Enzyme pills with Lactase (make sure it has Lactase) and take 1 or 2 pills 10 minutes before having a bowl of cereal.

If your symptoms do not show up, then you have your answer right there. This is just a simple home test though, you should still get tested with your GP.
