Is it possible to develop an intolerance for stuff (i.e. lactose or latex)?

I used to be able to drink milk, no problem, when I was a kid but now I can't handle it. Can lactose-intolerance be developed?

Yes it can. Your body changes as you get older, you can develop new allergies and new intolerances. I used to down chocolate like no tomorrow, and now I break out in cold sores and get the most painful sore throats from it. (My mom is allergic to chocolate and I developed the allergy in my late teens/early 20s).

Its pretty common for people to become lactose intolerant later in life.
