Lemon juice 'could stop Aids'

Australian scientists have provoked controversy by suggesting lemon juice could act as a cheap and effective birth control and help stop the spread of the deadly Aids virus.
Reproductive scientist Roger Short, from the University of Melbourne, said laboratory tests have shown that lemon juice killed sperm and HIV, which often develops into Aids.

The common lemon - a cure for the HIV virus?

Another question related to this one.

Interesting, but I share the same points of concern that the article brings up. Stick with condoms and other prevention measures.

And cure for HIV virus? No. Read the article carefully. Lemon for contraceptive usage, not for killing HIV in an infected patient. A lot of things can kill HIV virus, like bleach, but doesn't necessarily mean it can be used to treat an infected patient.

Literally Sweet.......

It's 100% effective, if used properly:

Instead of having sex, drink a glass of lemon-ade.

Seriously, though, lemon juice does kill bacteria and viruses. It might help, but the acidic side effects could be unpleasant.

"According to Mr Short, lemons could be used as a contraceptive by soaking a piece of cotton wool in the juice and inserting it into the vagina before sex."

that would sting...a lot lol but if It works I'd do it to prevent getting aids

Hopefully, that would be wonderful.

There is another way, It's called Russian Roulette.

If so, that would be wonderful.. The world would be a totally better sex place but I heard, drinkin' herbs and natural stuff can cure HIV/AIDS..

BS.....I don't believe it
