Are there any specific tests to find out wheather one is Gay or Lesbian?

YES! Amazingly, there is a way to test. I can't guess how practical or expensive this is, but the research is out there.

I read a study awhile ago that asked participants to describe themselves as gay, straight, or bi. They then took a radio shot to monitor blood flow in the brain, and were given scents to smell. When a person smells something like a hamburger, or pine sol, or fresh cut grass, that smell is processed in the olfactory region of the brain. However, when a straight man smells the sweat of a woman, it's not treated the same. That odor is processed in the part of the brain responsible for sexual arousal. If the same person sniffs a man's sweat, it's processed in the olfactory part with all the other odors. The same with a straight woman--a man's scent goes to sexual arousal, a woman's scent to olfactory. The same idea applies to gay people as well. A gay man processes a man's scent in the arousal region, a woman's scent in the olfactory region. You get the picture, I'm sure. So what about people who consider themselves bi? According to the test, nobody is neurologically bisexual. Most who reported they were bi had the same results of a gay person, although a couple of participants had the same results as a straight person.

So, there's your test. As the bi results show, nobody is pigeonholed into any sexual orientation simply because their neurology says so. But I think this would answer your question.

No. Being gay or lesbian is not a disease and there are no physical tests. You can only go on what you feel and where your attractions lie.

You just know who you are.

There are no specific tests as being gay or a lesbian is a matter of choice. Usually this is due to a personal like/dis-like of a person -- though I believe it is a twisted, aberrated view that the person has that isn't logical/normal. It doesn't have anything to do with a body. It has to do with the person's view and his mind.

Being gay is not a choice...how anyone can even think that when even science has proven otherwise makes no sense to me. This ignorance does nothing but breed hatred.
