What type of Anemia is this patient suffering from? And Why?

A laboratory test of a patient鈥檚 blood reveals a hematocrit of 32. Microscopic examination of the blood also reveals several distorted and ruptured red blood cells. In addition, the reticulocyte count is 2 percent. Based on all these findings, what disorder do you think the patient is suffering from?

Sickle-cell anemia. The distorted cells are sickle-shaped. Usually only found in those of african-american heritage or a very limite amount are those with heritage from certain areas in the mediterranean.

Maybe Cicle Cell, but i'm not a doctor.

Genetic resistance to malaria over time is thought to be the root cause for sickle cell anemia...not that sickle cell sufferers have malaria, but that they have in their genetic line, developed a resistance to it...

Aplastic anemia or Sickle cell anemia.(Not sure).
