What is wrong with me?? Moms would be great lol.? |
Okay since its past midnight here and I dont want to call my mom and wake her up so can you please help me? I think moms always know the answers lol. Take the Tylenol cold and if you don't feel better in the morning go to the school nurse. I'm a mom and a nurse. You sound like you might be getting the flu. Now go to bed!! it does sound like you've come down with some sort of viral infection. a trip to the doctor would probably be a waste of time and money, as they will all tell you the same thing. Viral illnesses, like the flu, or a cold, are all treated essentially the same way... stay in bed, drink lots of fluids, take tylenol for aches and/or fever, and avoid going out and spreading your virus around. Yes, it sounds like you have the flu. You can take Tylenol cold for now, it will help with the body aches. You need to take a few days of to get better. Stay warm, take tylenol and eat warm soup and tea. Sounds like you're coming down with the flu. Take your Tylenol cold to help your headache and try to get some sleep. Throw on extra covers to keep warm and let yourself sweat. Be sure to drink plenty of water or juice to keep hydrated. Hope you feel better soon. It probably is some sort of viral infection, and you more than likely caught it from a person, not a mouse. As you noticed, the flu is making the rounds, and you live in a dormatory where not all your dorm mates may have the same sanitary standards as you. And for what it's worth, most viral infections are pretty species specific- you have a human bug, not a rodent one. The aches and pains, headache and general ratty feeling are pretty common for a viral infection, and no way to stave it off now. You may end up with the flu, it may pass. For right now, just take some plain old Tylenol or Ibuprofen, have a large glass of something wet- not alcohol, and go to sleep. That is the best remedy there is and the one mom would recommend. Tomorrow you will likely feel pretty ratty as well, possibly worse. If you have a student health clinic, that would be the place to head for some aid in coping with it. Lay in a supply of drinks, broth based soups and crackers, and Tylenol. If you have caught the flu, you are going to feel ratty for about a week, and there is no fast cure. Sorry dear- that's the mom line. Should you develop a fever, don't get all excited. A fever is your friend, not your enemy, as long as you can get it down to below 102 with Tylenol or Motrin. It will limit the virus reproducing, but your immune system will work just fine. Just rest, drink and see the clinic in the morning. Yes, it could be the beginning of the flu. It would be best to go to a doctor. Isn't there a health clinic on campus? If you are just beginning the flu, the doctor could give you something like Tamiflu to help you get over it faster, but you have only 48 hours from the onset of symptomes to take it. Perhaps there is an Urgent Care at the hospital you work at. I doubt you picked up anything from the lab, there is a slight possibility, but not likely. It does sound like you are coming down with something though. Please go get it checked out. I am a mom of 4 kids and a grandma too! This is what I would tell my kids to do. Also go ahead and take some Tylenol, it can help with those chills. Drink plenty of fluids, water is great, and maybe take a vitamin which will help get youthough the stressful times at school. Good luck, and get better! you can take a Tylenol and if you don't feel any better the next day b, you should see the nurse at your school to see what she thinks , you should just go there tomorrow i would want my daughter to get checked out , flu does not always come with a fever, |
