Will eating peanuts generously reduce LDL cholesterol?

I am a diabetic and my LDL is 140 and HDL is 39. I love peanuts and I was told peanuts will reduce LDL. Peanuts are known to contain saturated fats. Saturated fats are to be avoided for keeping the cholesterol under check. But I was told that it is not the case with peanuts and peanuts will reduce cholesterol. Kindly advise so that my eating peanuts is not counter productive.

I don't believe peanuts are all that healthy. I think your numbers are pretty good, though. Most of us wish we could be as low as you.

Nuts are healthy. It reduces your hunger as well. One hand full should be enough though.
