Glasses or lasik touch up?

i had lasik surgery 2 and a half years ago and i had 20/20 vision after that. i just had my first eye exam after lasik last week and my optometrist said that my left eye is still 20/20 but my right is already 20/60 so i would need glasses to drive. i called the eye center where i had lasik and they wont do the touch up for free anymore since it more than 2 yrs ago. should i just get the glasses instead? will these prescription glasses correct my vision back to 20/20? or should i do the touch up? what is gonna happen after the touch up? i worry that i might be doing a touch up every 2-3 years and the eye center is charging 1800 per eye for the touch up-its like having lasik all over again! i paid 4800 for my lasik. can i have my touch up done in some place cheaper?

Maybe you should try an alternative treatment called natural vision correction. It consists of specific eye exercises and techniques that can improve your eye sight and it's completely safe.

I used to be short sighted (-1.00 D) with slight astigmatism and was able to improve my vision completely with these exercises. Eye exercises require persistence, but they are worth every bit of it. Read more here:

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

Well, you could get the glasses, or get one contact lens, and wait a while to see if you want the touch up.

Wear one contact lens and see if your eye continues to get worse. If you get a "touch up" now and then need another one in 2 more years, your cornea won't be able to be operated on again. They can only go so deep and the cornea never really grows back!

What a dilemma to be in...I'm surprised that at the price you paid, they would have given you a lifetime enhancement guarantee. Be careful, if you decide to go to someplace cheaper, they may say that you may go ahead with the enhancement. Your cornea may be too thin to perform another surgery.

Stick with the glasses. I know you got LASIK to get rid of them, but I have seen many people that had corrective surgery, and within 5 years were back in glasses.

I would first get a consult with a surgeon to see if the touch up is safe to do. Otherwise stick with glasses. I would also get a few opinions regarding this. I found that most of the honest doctors are based in university settings. Why don't you try to get a consult from a medical center in a university.
