Lasik Eye Surgery (halos around light)? |
I had standard lasik eyes surgery a week ago. I am doing good, but I see halos at night around the lights and it really gets to me. My doctor said they would go away in time. I was wondering if anyone else had the experience with lasik and if so how long before the halos go away. thanks most commonly reported side effect of lasik. sometimes it never goes away. You have a higher chance of having that issue if treated with traditional or standard treatment instead of custom. It is sometimes temporary while healing but in some cases it is permanent. All you can do is wait and see! Halos emitting from light sources in low light environments is a common Lasik complication during the early stages of healing. The problem ocurrs when the outer edge of the cornea (clear front of eye) has a different refractive error than the center. The symptom is called Spherical Aberration (SA). |
