Does lasik surgrey last forever? |
my friend (seriously, my friend) was considering lasik surgrey and he wants to know if lasik last forever. will the eyes go back after sometime like say 5 years? I had Lasik surgery, and unfortunately my vision has worsened (from 20-15 to 20-40). On the good side, though, my vision is still better than it was pre-surgery. Even with lasik you will still need reading glasses when your 40. You just won't need bifocals. My daughter , had this surgery a few weeks ago,,, and Yes was told she would have better than 20/ 20 vision for the rest of her life,,, No, LASIK surgery is only temporary. On average it lasts between 6-10 years. As people age, their vision changes - especially around the age of 40 and older (due to presbyopia - aging of the lens, which causes the need for reading glasses). |
