Is Lasik an honest business?

I have been to one office that says they are "too conservative" to fix my eyes which are at -7.00 and another office which says I'm a great candidate for Lasik. Both places are charging around $5,000.

Know anyone who's eyes were this bad and are happy with their lasik results?

as long as you are sure they are lisenced then just get it done by them. its best to find out about these people from recomendations so you know that they are good.

my dad had poor eyesight his whole life and finally opted to get lasik surgery about 2 years ago. he hasn't needed glasses since and is extremely happy with the results.

ask to talk to past patients about their experience with that particular doctor if you are unsure about his skills. I'd definetely recommend lasik, even if it doesn't improve your eyes to a level where you don't need glasses, it will at least give you better eyesight so you won't have such thick glasses
