Has anyone has lasik surgery? Are there any side effects?

I want to have lasik surgery and I need advise on whether to have it or not. I want to have it but I heard that there are side effects after a few months or years. Is that true? Has anyone has lasik surgery and have side effects afterwards?

I have heard about the side effects since they are actually lifting up your cornea during the surgery and if you get accidently hit in the eye or head possibly could slip before totally healed. thats why I had PK done instead,I went from glasses to 20/20 in both eyes.no side effects

Hi

My name is Filipan Daniel Marius I am 26 years old and I live in Romania .
Lasik is a safe procedure but there are much more safer procedures like LASEK or the newest EPI-LASIK and more and more people choose these procedures because they not cut the corneea for not one second .
After LASIK in a car or sport acident the flap that was made during the LASIK procedure can tear off ... there was cases it is very rare but is posible that even years after LASIK you can have serious problems .
Most problems with LASEK and EPI-LASIK are easy to resolve , but problems eith LASIK are harder to manage and in long-terms LASIK is not a good choise .
People say that LASEK is a painful procedure but it-s not true , I had LASEK six month ago and I had unpleasent senzations for only two days after the operation but the third day , I had no problems that all .
For two days of mild ^^ pain ^^ is do not feel pain is more like salt water in your eyes , and I didn-t take any kind of medicine for pain , so is not a big problem .
After LASEK the surgery is invisible even at microscope , but in the case of LASIK it is visible at a microscope all your life .

Take into acount my answer , I have study more then two years for these procedures .
