Kyphosis brace?

Hi everyone,

I am a 17 year old girl who has mild kyphosis due to what I'm told is a postural issue from when I was young. Having kyphosis is a constant hurt for me-- it is physically painful as well as it is devastating to my self esteem. I have always found myself unattractive and disgusting by having this abnormity.

What I'm wondering is.. is it too late for me to wear a brace to help correct it and make me look more normal? I am hoping it is not too late for me. I can't afford surgery and I have tried exercises. So I hope that somebody can tell me if wearing a brace at my age can still be an option to help my appearance?

Ah, I forgot to say thank you to anyone that can help me. I would be very grateful!

I am no Dr. but I think if you want to treat it, you should do it now before you get any older. You are at the end of adolescence, but a little help may be better than nothing.
