How much does a kyphosis surgery cost?

pretty self explanatory. i know someones gonna tell me talk to my doctor, but heres the shakedown: i have horrible insurance, they wouldnt pay for a TB test. or a celiac blood test. they are cheep. i have kyphosis. its at a 59 degree angle last time i checked i beleive, and that was after wearing a brace for a month. but im 15 AND I want to get rid if thsi as soon as possible. so yeah, just a quick run down on price that you know of, or anything else you wanna say.

I had my first surgery for kyphosis when I was seventeen. If your spine is interfering with your daily life, your parents can apply for SSI or Social Security or you. You would then qualify for Medicaid, which would make your surgery cost free.

Surgery is very painful. I am assuming that you'll have instrumentation and fusion. It is a very long road to recovery, and you will never be the same after. If you've only been braced for one month, I'd give it a bit more time. I know people who were braced or casted for two years.

It's embarassing to live with kyphosis, but the surgery is very serious. Make sure to talk this all over with your parents and doctor.

The total costs of my surgery were over $250k. It was also a thirteen hour surgery, and rehab took years.
