How do I fix my posture so that I don't get kyphosis? |
I swim as a sporting activity on a team but my grandfather who is a doctor warned me about my back. I slouch sometimes, when writing at school or while on the computer, but I really am scared because I don't want to have back problems when I am older. Can you give me any tips on how to have better standing and sitting posture? I would really appreciate a answer from a trained professional or doctor! Thanks alot for helping!! I will give the best answer the highest rating. I am a male and a teenager, if that helps. You don't say how old you are or if you're male or female. Women can get some posture improving straps that attach to a bra. Guys need a complete harness system. Weighted traction helps (check with a chiropractor). If this is a really longstanding slouch issue, you may need some Rolfing to reeducate the muscles along with strengthening exercises. |
