I know something is seriously wrong but don't know what it is.? |
I am a 39 year old female and I seriously feel like I am 90. I usually wake up okay, but after a couple of hours...I feel like I need to lay down right now or I will die. I cannot tolerate activity, I have headaches all the time. I also recently had quadruple vision and felt like I was going to pass out. It resoved on it's own after about 15 sec. It makes no sense, as tired as I am...I have insomnia. I sleep 2 or 3 hrs and wake up totally alert. My body aches all over. No fever. I do have a very messed up back (L-1 and T-6 burst fractures) with scoliosis and kyphosis, also a grade 2 spondolithiasis. I went through several back to back high stress situations a few years ago. Things are now quieting down in my life. There are so many things I want to do in life, but I am always so tired, I get nothing done. I can go see a doctor, but my complaints are all so whiny, i.e. I have a headache, I'm tired, I can't sleep. Any ideas? Write down your symptoms as specifically as you can, be organized, list your questions. Then go to the doctor. Tell him/her how long you have had these symptoms. Are you eating right? What seems to make your symptoms worse. The doc will prob. want to check your thyroid, blood count, and other basic tests. Don't ignore this or feel you are being "whiney". If your doctor is not a good listener, ask friends for a recommendation and see another doctor. I wish you the best. I would highly recommend you go see a doctor and get him to refer you to a neuro specialist. It sounds to me like you might not just have back problems, but there could be nerves in your back that could be damaged or trapped from the scoliosis that is causing your headaches and the tiredness. I'm told tiredness is one of those annoying things that is really difficult to diagnose because there's so many things that could cause it - depression, infection, hypothyroidism, nutritional deficiencies and about a million other things. And unfortunately diagnosing it would probably require a long, detailed history so i really think you should go to a doctor if it's nearly as severe as you say. Some doctors with poor people skills might dismiss such complaints as silly, but the vast majority will take you completely seriously - or they're not doing their job. could possibly be diabetes |
