Knee cap replacement, is there an age limitation?

I'm 38, and have patella femoral syndrome. I have had durolane, physio, brace all pre-op, then a "scope", physio, another new brace and courtizone injectons. My knee is still swollen(5 mths post-op)and painful on a daily basis I was told I can never kneel or squat again ever. I have limits in my bending. I can't walk or sit for more than an hour wihtout pain. I have a young child and wish to be active with her. Therefor I ask am I a possible candidate for knee cap or knee replacement? I need something to help. I'm not over weight and actively LIKED to play volleyball and rollerblade.

What did you have done when your knee was scoped? If you can give me a little more information about your knee I might be able to help you more. E-mail me and let me know what you had done, if your legs are malaligned, if you have cartilage damage on the underside of your patella and any other information you can think of. I think I could give you some ideas for some other treatments to ask your doctor about. Look forward to hearing from you.

no age limits, have answered younger than you having a replaced knee. search yahoo answer to find the case. best answer?
