Has anyone every had total knee replacement that had to be removed? |
i had a total knee replacement on may 28 2007 and it is not healing well, they say it is some kind of bone infection, now that want to take out the new total knee replacement and wait until the knee heals from that surgery then go back and put a new total knee replacement in then, has anyone had this happen to them, and what was the end results I work in surgery and it does sound correct that if you have a bad infection that your antibiotics are not helping you need to have something done. I have heard of patients having their joints replaced several times and have heard of letting them "heal" in severe cases. I wouldn't down play this situation. I would think this would be very serious. Also, if it were me I would try to go to another doc for another opinion. To me, this can be very serious. I don't know your entire situation, but for myself I would also think about getting a lawyer. I would think that your further medical care should be free. But I'm not a doctor or a lawyer. |
