Knee replacement surgery - how soon can I drive?

I have been to 3 doctors to discuss orthoscopic surgery. 2 of the 3 said that they could not give me much assurance of a benefit. Knee replacement surgery seems like a possibility. I have a small business and need to be there to meet clients.
What has been your experience regarding when the patient will be able to drive?

First, it would give me pause if 2 of 3 doctors told me that replacement might not be beneficial. Don't latch on to a doctor just because that one says it will help.

I own my own business, too, and have learned to cope with the knees for the very reason you give - can't afford to be down for an extended period of time. Instead, I get occasional cortisone injections and, every nine months or so, get Synvisc treatments.

After knee replacement, when you can bend your knee quickly enough to be safe, driving can be resumed. Various doctors estimate 4-6 weeks, but could be longer with complications.

Best wishes!
