Do I have a concern about having a knee replacement?

I have a prolapsed mitral valve and consistantly skipped heart beats! Im skeptical of having such a deep serious related surgery and Im concerned of a thrombosis or such being thrown. I have seen this happen to patients in the OR. Im a rad tech and im older. should i try to avoid with all possibilities a knee replacement?

have you tried cortisone injections and or synvisc injections?

This really boils down to how much pain are you willing to deal with and for how long.
A knee replacement is something that is offered after other options have failed and your doctor is very aware of your heart condition.
I'm in my 60's (55 in my picture) and I have some minor knee problems, but on those few days that they flare-up, I'd give anything to have a good set of knees.

Age of a person is most important.
Actully those whosuffering from Arthritis .One must get physio theraphy for 2weeks.secondly wax theropy over the knees,Third microwave theropy.for 2 weeks.
THESE ARE ESSENTIAL.New knee or knee replacement can be done if it is very difficult one FIRST the treatmet is essential.THERE ARE REMEDIES.yOU MUST GET TREATED. IF ALL ARE A FAILURE AND PAINS ARE UNBEARABLE.THEN YOU SHOULD GO FOR KNEE REPLACEMENT
YOU SHOULD DISCUSS BASED ON TREATMENT AND NEW KNEE/KNEES
PLEASE CONSULT YOUR ORTHOPEDICIAN
