Is there only one product used for knee replacement surgery? Like silicon bags and boob jobs?

do they ever use just a titanium in knee replacement surgery? please answer me with the different types of products used. THANKS.

No there are lots of different prodcuts on the market regarding knee replacements. One of the people in the room during a knee replacement (or any joint replacement surgery) is a rep from the company that created the replacement joint. Why you may ask? This is to ensure a better fit for the knee. The rep is generally more knowledgable about their product and helps ensure a better fit. Just so you knwo - this person is not directly involved in the surgery, they are off to the side showing the stuff and providing the product. The sites provided gives you some information regarding knee replacement surgeries. Also, just so you know I'm a 3rd year physician assistant student who is incredibly interested in ortho surgery, especially joint replacement surgery.

There are DOZENS of different prosthetics, tools, and materials used to replace a knee or an elbow. I'm not a doctor, so I appologise for not being more informative. I've watched the Surgery channel from time to time. Titanium is probably the best knee replacement material there is, but it's very expensive. There are other less seccessful things out there like harder plastics and metal pins that serve as bones etc.
