I face knee replacement surgery. Will I be able to continue umpiring baseball after the surgery? |
I am 50 years old. I am losing weight to get down to the proper weight for my size, currently I am about 30 lbs over. The arthritis is severe in both knees but the right one will get a partial replacement on the outside soon. The left is most likely five years away. Depends on how bad it is. Ask you doctor stupid. How would we know? Probably -- depends on your rehab -- which is under your control Most people your age who receive knee corrective surgery should be able to recover to the point that you should still be able to do ordinary activities. However, you might want to consider officiating not as often as before. You've gotta love Y A&Q sometimes, so many well thought out answers! It depends on the severity of the damaged knee. Only your doctor can tell you what your limits will be. Then once you re through your recovery period, try what you used to do and see how it feels. Physicians are not always 100% correct in their predictions. Good luck. Get Knee replacement surgery in India.Orthopaedic surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges orthopaedic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. |
