How long does it take for knee injuries to heal? |
I hurt my knee and have been resting it for a week. I'm going mad sitting around all day but my knee is still sore. Does anyone know how long I should wait before going back to using it as normal? Hi, Poor you I know just how you feel, it really depends on what you have done. I thought I had just twisted my knee, but it just did'nt stop hurting. A few weeks later I went to my doc who sent me for an xray. turned out i'd torn the cartilage and I had to have an op. I WAS STUNNED. any way get yourself to xray and let them look inside its the only way. you need to balance rest with moving it, too much rest is as bad as too little I would have a doctor look at it. Healing time depends on what kind of injury it was. Good luck. depends upon how bad the injury is and how you treat the injury. u need to go to a doctor nd get proper care for it . Having a hurt kneee is no light matter. u could have pulled or torn ligaments please see a doctor I think it takes about a month to heal completely so be calm and wait ....................... If you take protein powder from Nutrilite, it will get well in a jiffy If it isn't completely better in 10 days then you did some serious damage and need to see an orthopedist. A few years ago, I fell on a gravel road while backpacking and got a deep gash in my knee requiring stitches. It took a few weeks to heal completely. Don't just sit around, yes, you need rest, but walk on it every now and then. The best answer would come from a doctor though. anywhere between a 1 month and 3 months sorry Depends if you're Johnny Wilkinson. well depends on how much you put attention on knee, for myself, i hurt my knee abt 2 and half years ago, i didnt treat it immendly and now i have plms w knee, i have been going to thearpist for last one year... treat it well, maybe few sessions w thearpy should help knee heals quickly it really just depends on the injury, i would suggest asking your doctor. have u considered getting cruches or a wheelchair until your knee heals? that way u don't have 2 sit sround all day and not b as bored! good luck and i hope your knee feels better :) Hi it all depends what sort off injury you have done to your knee, ligaments, bones, muscle all takes time to heal. What did you actually do and i may be able to help you. |
