I dislocated my knee? bad year with injuries.? |
In the past calendar year i have torn a hole in my quad, stretched the ligament in my thumb, tore my rotator cuff, tore a hole in my calf, and most recently i dislocated my knee over christmas break. I did this just by sitting down. I am 16 years old and having major joint pain and am seeing 3 different doctors for it including a rheumatologist, gastro something and my regular doctor. I just got out of my immobilizer and they put me in another brace for supprt and sent me to physical therapy but said that surgery needs to seriously be considered with my medical history. I don't want to go through pysical therapy just for it to happen again but i dont want to rush into surgery either. What do you think i should do? Oh goodness, I hope this year is so much better for you. My question would be, have they determined what is causing all of these injuries? It appears there must be an underlying reason for them and they need to be treating that. Physical therapy can be great, but seeing as you have an easy tendency to get hurt, I'm not sure that will work for you in the long term. Surgery is an option but I'd ask more questions to ease your mind before hand. |
