Knee injury while playing basketball, see details?

Basically it got bent back
to imagine this make your leg straight and then some pressure gets put on ure knee from the top
i put some ice on it, then it didn't hurt that much and i could walk around normally, today however i woke up and it feels a little sore and a little uncomfortable, esp at the back of the knee, and to the left of the kneecap, however there is almost no swelling as far as i can tell, and the pain isn't that great

can someone offer suggestions as to what this injury may be, and how to treat it?

i'm just wondering on the severity of the injury

also if i had torn any one of my ligaments (like ACL, MCL or PCl ) the pain would be great and i wouldn't be able to walk rite?

Whenever there is any injury, even a small bruise, there is tissue damage. With tissue damage comes inflammation to protect your body from infection and help heal the damage that has been done. It is a good sign that there is not alot of inflammation, but since you did hurt yourself there is probably a little bit of inflammation that isn't very noticeable. The inflammation from where the injury occurred is what is causing the pain. So icing the injury, resting, taking anti-inflammatory medication, and just taking it easy on the knee will be best. Let your body do its work, don't play basketball until it is COMPLETELY healed!
If any of your ligaments were torn, not only would there be a great amount of inflammation along with a great amount of pain, but you probably would not be able to stand or walk very well.
The key to healing fast and being able to play again, take care of yourself and drink plenty of fluids.

it's either hyper extended or a ACL tear.(SP) either way you should go to the doctor.

wrong...you can walk without much pain after 24-48 hrs of the injury if you tore any of those ligaments. I still recommend seeing an orthopedic doctor as I wrote on your previous question. If you did tear your ACL it would feel fine after a couple of days and you would think nothing is wrong. You would go back to playing sports with an unstable knee and be at great risk to cause much greater damage to the knee. If you get the knee checked out then you would know whether or not there is a problem.
