Knee injury problem? |
i m 14 years old & last year in august 31 2006 i had a knee injury. I partially tore my ACL in my left leg. so it took me about 2 months on crutches to get back on my feet & walking again. i didnt go back to my PE class until the beginning of December. Once i went back in i was back to my normal self. running the mile everything. but there were sometimes that i would like "twist" my knee & it would drop me straight to the ground. most of the time i would stop what i was doing (basketball, football, etc.) & i would be sore for like 2 days. after i would be back doing everything. so that continued until the end of summer 2007 & from then until now i havent had any problems. in the last 3 days it happened twice. 1st i was playing football wit my friends & one tried tackling me. i tried my hardest to break the tackle & by doing so i made a step forward but i fell straight to the ground. today i was playing bball i was walking & i jus slipped again what can i do? wat is the problem? Hmm, well I have snapped my ACL and done some pretty bad damage around it (I'm now 16 and did it in June 2006) . Had a knee reconstruction etc... Anyway. I had a similar problem. It sounds like your ACL is not back to normal. You may want to have it checked. Mine was hurt originally and then ended up tearing loose finally on the top side. get it checked out by a doctor. he or she can refer you to a physiotherapist. they can do some gentle exercise with you and hopefully make your knee stronger. |
