How do I know if my knee injury is serious if the doctors didn't see anything wrong when they did x-rays? |
Injury occurred almost a year ago, it feels like it popped out of place and the pain is unbearable but I can still walk on it and about a week or 2 pending on how bad I popped it the pain slowly goes away and seems as if back to normal. My knee only pops if I keep my foot down and move my body and it pops out and back into place. I'm afraid to jog, jump and dance, but if I didn't tear a ligament is there an excercise I can do to heal my knee for good or is this something that I have to worry about for the rest of my life. I'm very active and I feel trapped by limiting myself from certain activities. X-rays want be any good in diagnosing a tendon/ligament disorder. Best bet is to go to a orthopedic doctor or ask your regular doctor for MRI. Did you only have xrays? If you are still having all that trouble with it, then you should see your doctor and request a CT or MRI scan. you should go see a different doc, and explain to him/her exactly what you're explaining to us. I had something similar happen to me. i was in the Army, and my knees were hurting all the time, and when I went to get checked out, (more than once by different docs) I was simply told that I weigh too much (although I wasn't fat. I had 25 extra pounds of muscle) |
