Is there anything stronger than Prozac ? |
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind... I posted this commment earlier and was wondering as the prozac isnt working that will and is causing me to have an eating disorder on a good day I'll have 3 small meals and maybe a eg-(a health bar, yoghurt coted dryed fruit and sometims biscuit and choclate) on a bad day Ill only eat 1 meal (breakfast) ..... I know I shouldnt blame prozac but it only started rcently and NEVER had it before and my ex (whom Im still close to) and my mom are all finding out HELP and Im not seeing my phycatrist as they said they could change him and havnt (they said you can only change the person your seeing if its something like a bad knee, bad back etc which is silly because I feel people who want to throw them self off a bulding need more than that) my physcatrists speak clear english so dont tell me to go to him , (I asked my GP who refere me for an english speaking women) Thanks x Try Cymbalta. Prozac did nothing for me. Celexa worked okay. And Lexapro, forget it... made me suicidal hardcore. However, I was put on Cymbalta for mild depression / bipolarism and I gained a whole new outlook on life. Plus, the side effects at first aren't too terrible. Prozac actually made me feel suicidal. It doesn't suit everyone but you did say you started it recently so you may need to give it more time before it works for you. If not, there are many different ones you can try. Hi there. Different anti-depressants work on different types of brain chemistry so stronger, a bigger dose, is not necessarily better. Prozac takes 3-6 months to kick in so the effects you feel may be coz of that. Maybe you need to adjust your dosage or switch to another anti-depressant. You should be able to easily make the switch from Prozac to Lexapro. I wouldn't say Lexapro is stronger, but I do feel better on it and eat more. it is possible that you don't need anything stronger. I am taking citalopram which is very effective for me. Go and see your GP xx |
