Not feeling good...doctors can't figure it out? |
Been fatigued for 2 years and have gone through tons of tests and all the doctors and specialists are at a loss as to what it is. Was an active runner until the onset of the following symptoms...shortness of breath(asthma ruled out), mild neuropothy in the legs, flucuating ANA tiler from 1:160 to 1:40 now rising again and at 1:80, mild edema in the hands, knees and various joints. Within the last 6 months add sudden increase in blood pressure(diastolic never below 95 with meds),cholesterol at 270, pulse always arond 92, blurred vision. Recently was hospitalized last week because I had bad vertigo (no his before), bp was 163/116, head pounding(no history of headaches), double vision, light sensitivity, loss of feeling in hands(no tingling). At the hospital I had a gran mal seizure lasting about 30 seconds. Did cat scan and everything was normal so they determined it was a migraine(although not painful)and sent me home. last week diagnosed with autoimmune disorder but none specic Testing for lyme disease was negative. Friend with myasthenia gravis thinks I have that. Wondering if anyone else has been in similar situation. i have the same problem. i have so many health problems it aint funny. ive been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and mixed connective tissue disease. tested positive for lupus before. been in hospitals numerous times for medical problems, and i'm 45, this has been going on for years. starting really feeling it at 37. its never ending. usually you have 2 underlying diseases together. whether its fibromyalgia and lupus, fibromyalgia and rheumtoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and multiple sclerosis and so forth. thats what my rheumatoligist told me. and they also flare up at times or remission. my doctor told me about fibromyalgia, that i had it as a child and didnt know it because my muscles and joints hurt and ached all the time really bad, it just got worse as i got older. its really debilitating. i also take numerous medications. here lately my muscles and joints been really hurting and been swelling. my cholesterol is at 289. i take spells where is jumps up at times especially in the winter. i also have blurred vision, double vision, but i believe alot of mine is from degenerative disc disease and the tingling and numbness. with fibromyalgia they can check you by what they call pressure points in different areas on your body. they get really sore and ache. your doctors will find out for sure whats going on with you. i know what you're going thru. Have you been tested for Lyme's Disease? This is a possibility. Also, have the doctors check your labs and blood work to make sure everything is within normal limits. Where do you live? Could it be Lyme's Disease? Get a MRI... have they checked you for MS, I have had test for ms Lyme and and nothing, yet my symptoms are almost the same. next time you go to the doctor ask them, Have your thyroid hormones been tested? I mean your actual thyroid hormones, free T3 and free T4. Also thyroid antibodies. TSH is a pituitary hormone, and is not a good test for thyroid disease. |
