Is anemia commonly associated with arthritis?

I don't know how young you can be to develop arthritis but my knees and joints are almost always in pain.
When I sit I have to stretch my knees out or they'll start hurting, whenever my finger joints hurt I just start playing piano to keep my mind off it.
I'm anemic and have EDNOS so i'm not in the best of health.
I guess I can see why I might develop something else since i'm already a weak person without good nutrition.
My question is basically what it says...can anemia (and an eating disorder) also lead to arthritis?

Anemia and EDNOS do not 'cause' Arthritis, if that is what you are asking. Obviously if you are not taking in calcium, eating milk, cheese or taking calcium vit D supplements, then you could be heading for Osteoporosis or brittle bones.
However anemia can be caused by eating problems and if you have Rheumatoid Arthritis like me, chances are you will be anemic for certain phases of the condition. Knee or joint pain can be caused by other conditions outside of Arthritis, Fibro for example. Therefore you really need to see a Doc, see what is going on. Good Luck
