Can a left kidney be used for right kidney transplantation ?

With the tissue grafting accepted, and other clinical aspects solved, can this be carried out ?

Yes, it can. My mother gave me one of her kidneys. Her left kidney was taken out, and was put in the right side of my peritoneal cavity (the abdomen). When a kidney transplant takes place, the surgeon usually won't take out either of the 2 kidneys that the person was born with (unless the kidneys are cancerous or have a disease that will spread to the rest of the body). They will put the new kidney in the abdomen.

I thought as long as you have one kidney left you'll be ok???
