Kidney Stones..? |
I'm 18 years old and I have just recently gotten kidney stones. Its really unusual for girls my age to get them. I've gone to the doctor and got medicine but sometimes the pain is unbearable. Can anyone give me any suggestions to get through the pain? Girl...bless your heart. I have had my share of them, and my first one was at the age of 22. Most of the time you have to have a narcotic to help with the pain until the stone passes. This is so even for the smallest of stones. Motrin would be the best over the counter medicine, but like I said....kidney stones usually require something stronger. It's usualy unbearable. Just drink lots and lots of water and cranberry juice is great. Good luck, and try to find out what your stone is made up of so that you can monitor certain food or beverage intake if necessary. The pathologist can run test on them once you've passed it. |
