My daughter has chronic kidney infections, does anyone have a smiliar problem? |
My. daughter is 6 years old. she developed her firt kidney infection around 4 1/2. Since then she has had about 8 kidney infections. She becomes very ill. She has seen several doctors for this problem. She has had an 2 ultrasounds, 2 VCUG's, and the kidney scan. She was diagnosed with grade 1 reflux on the left ureter. She was placed on furodantin everyday, until last september when she had 2 break through kidney infections. In January she had a surgery that was supposed to stop the the urine from backing up. The surgery went well, she was taken off of the antibiotcis about 4 weeks ago. She cam down with a kidney infection 3 weeks after the stop of the antibiotics. The doctors have no answers for me, we need help. Does anyone out here have any information on this problem? Does she use the bathroom enough? I had a really nasty infection when I first started school because I wouldn't use the school washrooms and just held it all day. The bathrooms were dirty and no one flushed, it just grossed me out too much. |
