I have midback pain right underneath my kidneys on both sides. It is not kidney infections. I was checked.?

My doctor wants me to get physical therapy. But I was told by multiple people that physical therapy doesnt work. And I dont have anyone who will watch my baby so I can go. I am only 19 so this sucks. Would a chiropractor help? What are some things that can help with this kind of pain? It hurts right underneath where my kidneys are on the sides. I know poor posture is part of the problem. I used to have kidney infections and this feels almost the same as it did when I had a kidney infection but I have went to the doctor every week for the past month and that is not what it is. Pain medicine doesnt help and I hate taking medicine anyway.

i dont know what to tell you. You could have pulled your lower back muscles somehow. or it could be stress on your lower vertebrea due to poor posture, if you pulled a muscle you may need to do a series of exercises to stregthen the muslces...in that case you should see a physical therapist. I saw one for my shoulder, they gave me some exercises to do ans after a while i was fine. However if it is stress to your vertebrea from poor posture you may need to wear a back bace when you are sitting for long periods of time like when you are on the computer or something.

I would try and find someone to watch your baby one day so you can see somene about this...perhaps a relative or neighbor could watch for an hour. Either way you need to figure out something or it may get worse and trust me you dont want it to. I am only 24 years old and am on a lot of prescription meds for arthritis because I waited too long to talk to a doc about the pain i was experiencing. You dont want that, trust me!

it might be kidney stones. usually, kidney stones hurt like crazy, but if they are small enough, they just simply hurt. drink a lot of water, just in case this is the problem.

I had the same problem a while ago. My lower back hurt really bad and nothing I did helped. A couple of weeks before that I went to my gyno for my yearly check up. About 2 weeks later I got a call telling me that I had chlamydia. I was told that you don't really get symptoms (as it's known as the silent std), but lower back pain is one of the main symptoms. I would get checked for that. If that is so, they just give you one pill and its gone within a week. If not, I maybe a UTI??
