FOR THOSE WHO HAVE HAD A KIDNEY INFECTION:Question about kidney infections and lower back pain? |
I have a kidney infection (left side) and have been treating with antibotics for about 5 days now. It was my first day back at work today since being sick, and I had to leave early because of nausea and extreme lower back pain on the one side (eft)mainly hip and buttocks area. I went right to the clinic after work and the doctor there told me I pulled a muscle. Is this even possible? I have been doing nothing for the past 5 days to pull a muscle. I did not have pain like this since getting the infection. I did another urine sample and he said the infection is clearing and the nausea and dizziness is from the meds. But I am concerned about the pain in my hip. It comes and goes and it is so painful. It was so painful at one point that it consumed my whole hip and upper part of my leg. This my first day at work and it is a physical job, could that be what caused it. I have had slight pain and comfort in that area over the past 5 days but not like today. I am meant discomfort. . .sorry I noticed my typo. Forgive me I feel like crap :( Here's a guess.... Maybe you put your pelvis out when you were relaxing for those 5 days? Mine goes out if I sit for more than about 20 minutes, and it does it for no real reason at all. The pain that I get is like a sharp, stabbing pain. It runs from this midsection of one buttock all the way down the back side of my thigh. Also, are you having troubles getting comfortable in bed at night? I cannot sleep when mine is out. I constantly shift and turn.... Maybe you could check in with a chiropractor and see if this might be your problem. There are plenty of them that do a free consultation..... It could just be a coincidental thing. I would get a second opinion,a friend of ours kept getting told his leg hurt because of arthritis. His son took him to a big hospital and it turned out he had cancer bad. It could have been that you strained your body after relaxing for five days. It also could be that it has something to do with your kidneys. When I had a kidney infection, I was nauseous and vomited quite a bit. I also had a LOT of pain in my lower back. So much that I could barely move. I would definitely get a second opinion, because it could be that your antibiotics are not working or your bladder could be infected. Many different options. Either way, get back to the doctor soon! |
