When someone is prone to kidney infections, is koolaid helpful or harmful?

This is concerning my mother who has started experience kidney complications due to the chemo type iv treatment she receives quarterly.

All the sugar in kool-aid is not healthy. If your mom wants something sweet to drink, but without all the sugar, Crystal Light is somewhat better, but the healthiest thing to drink is water, and natural juice (not from concentrate, the more natural, the better). Also, I've found cranberry juice is great for keeping away kidney infections.

Koolaid is harmful even if you aren't prone to kidney infections.

It is sugar water with chemical additives for color. Total JUNK. It contributes to the sugar problem Americans are experiencing. Sodas have 1 teaspoon of sugar per each ounce. In a big gulp, 64 ounces of soda will give you 64 teaspoons of sugar. Look at all the sugar you add to koolaide. No wonder weight gain is one of the biggest problems in America. 30% are obese and 80% are overweight.

Our life expectancy now ranks 24th and dropping in the world.
75% of all Americans die of heart disease.

The only way someone would be "prone to kidney infections" is to be nutrient deficient and eat or drink things that promote infections.

good luck to you

Depends on why you are prone to kidney infections!!!

Do you mean bladder infections that spread to your kidneys?
