What do you do to help kidney infections??

What do you do to help kidney infections??

I always refer my health questions to a qualified professional.

The best thing is CALL YOUR DOCTOR!!!!

drink lots of water only.

Drinks lots of water and/or cranberry juice.

go to get help

For sure, see a doctor ,but in the mean time, drink lots of water and for Gods sake, don't do Vicodin. (Or other drugs)

I don't know call that person called the doctor.

Are you sure it is kidney infection? Your doctor can confirm for you. Or are you are self diagnosing and you think it is kidney infection.
To help flush the kidneys try cranberry juice, 6-8 oz glass two to three times a day. Once it has cleared up continue with one glass each day.

drink water and sit down and rest a lot dont be up walking around cause when you are up walking around your kidney is more active

Call your Doctor ans drink lots of cranberry juice . It is very good for the kidneys and has lots of vitamins. God Bless.

lots of water and cranberry juice their is some stuff over the counter stuff ask your pharm.

UTI's,kidney infections or bladder infections need to be treated with antibiotics prescribe by your doctor. Along with that it helps to drink plenty of fluid and the best is cranberry juice for these types of infections.

are you diabetic? just wondering. of course see your doctor, ask about drinking water and/or cranberry juice or even the cranberry tablets. maybe ask if there something your consuming that could be causing it, lots of caffiene can be hard on your kidneys, alcohol too. sometimes you can get uti's from bubble bath, not wearing underwear, lubricants used during sex, if your partner isn't clean, or if your having anal sex then vaginal sex. not saying that your doing any of these things, just giving out info, may even help someone else who reads this.

to avoid kidney infection drink cranberry juice on a regular basis. If you currently have a kidney infection you will need to see a doctor for antibiotics. Drink plenty of water.

:)

See your doctor he will prescribe med. You can also drink lots of water and cranberry juice.

STOP, putting crappy liquids into you body. Our body was made for drinking water. Why is coca cola not in ponds, rivers, lakes & oceans naturally? Because they are chemicals and they do not belong in your body. Our bodies are like 97% water. Drink natural liquids, avoid high fructose corn syrup and other bad additives. WATER, WATER, WATER. if you have pain involved with this, and since your urinary tract is probably in pain too. Go to the pharmacy and ask for OTC AZO(?). it really is helpful for the pain.i had many kidney and urinary tract problems because of soda pop, which i no longer ingest.

First let me say that a kidney infection is a specific kind of Urinary Tract Infection or UTI.

You should see a doctor if you have a kidney infection as they can be extremely painful and serious. Chronic kidney infections can lead to kidney failure or the removal of the kidney. I had mine removed last November. You can survive on one kidney, but if you don't have to, why would you?

For some infections, you may only have to take antibiotics for 3 days, but usually you'll be on medication for 7 to 14 days. It's important to drink lots of water during and after treatment because each time you urinate, the bladder cleanses itself a little bit more. Cranberry juice also has been shown to have positive effects on UTIs. DON'T use the kind of juice that says "Juice Cocktail" on the label. That has too much sugar and is not concentrated enough with cranberries. Make sure the cranberry juice is 100% juice, many brands are now 100% cranberry. Quality cranberry juice produces hippuric acid in the urine which acidifies the urine and prevents bacteria from sticking to the walls of the bladder. If pure cranberry juice is not available, cranberry capsules can be substituted. They can be found in most health food stores. Always take these with a large glass of water.

Vitamin C may also be recommended for you to take. If you get help right away, a UTI should completely clear up within 10 days to 2 weeks. You may be advised to avoid sexual intercourse until the symptoms have been gone for 2 weeks, which allows the inflammation to disappear completely.
