If you have a kidney infection would your urine show infection?

I am having urinary symptoms but today at the drs my urine looked fine. They are sending it to a lab to see if anything grows but I am wondering if when they test your urine does it diagnose bladder and kidney infections? My lower tummy is burining on and off in pain, feels full, im peeing a lot but with little coming out...sooo uncomfortable. I couldnt believe they said i was fine! I do have some back pain that is starting and that is why i was wondring about a kidney infection. Thanks!

YES!
Your back will start hurting sooooo badly and when you walk your leg on that side of the bad kidney will make it hurt even worse.

If this test comes out negative - chances are your doc will still give you an antibiotic that will help take the "infection" away.
