Kidney infection is a condition or disease which causes inflammation of the kidneys. It is medically known as pyelonephritis (PI-low-nef-ri-tis), and it is the most common form of kidney disease.

Symptoms may include the following:
鈥?spiking fever,
鈥?chills,
鈥?lower back pain,
鈥?vomiting,
鈥?upset stomach,
鈥?a constant need to urinate, or
鈥?an inability to urinate at all,
鈥?blood in the urine,
鈥?pain or a burning sensation during urination.

If left untreated, for an extended period of time, kidney infection can scar the kidneys and impair kidney function. The earlier this disease is treated, the better the chances for full recovery. Antibiotics are the most common treatment for kidney infection.

they can be, its possible if not treated it could ruin the kidneys. sounds like you may have a kidney infection or a bladder infection. either way you need to have it checked out because it could ruin your kidneys or bladder if you do have and its not treated. good luck and best wishes.
