Kidney infection (Pyelonephritis) and exercise.? |
I have been diagnosed with a kidney infection by my doctor. My urine test showed an excessive amount of red blood cells, pus, and leukocytes (white blood cells). He originially told me bladder infection but wasn't exactly sure. I have had a fever (off and on) for the past 2 weeks, nausea, fatigue, and swollen lymph nodes; but, no pain while urinating. Anyway, after taking amoxicillin for 2.5 days I called him because I had very bad back pain. This finally triggered him to tell me that it's a kidney infection. I've already been diagnosed with this. I don't need a list of symptoms, as i have most of them. There are 2 questions listed .. could anyone please answer those? I would suggest that a kidney cleanse is the best way to go. Symptoms Better consult the doctor and have urine- Midstream specimen, for routine examination and culture. Then have the proper antibiotic and alkalize the urine. Take adequate fluids. If it is relapsing further investigations may be required. Sometimes radiography and ultrasound might be required depending on the condition. You can ask the doctor for pain relievers . Better take rest , no exercise and get advice in diet. N.B.:Fever weakness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, back pain etc are the symptoms of Acute pyelonephritis. You have not mentioned where the lymph glands are swollen and whether there is burning sensation while urinating ? |
