Kidney infection/UTI question? |
Monday I woke with a sore back on my left side like where my kidney is. By that night I was in extreme pain when urinating and also had some blood when I wiped. I took 2 over the counter azo pills. Yesterday the burning was getting better, but my back hurt really bad like where my kidneys are. Today the burning is gone but my back still hurts really bad in that area. I don't have a fever but I don't feel very good. You may have kidney stones. I had them at 22 and my back hurt so bad I couldnt breathe. Go to your doctor or a urologist. He will give you an xray to see if you have a stone, and if it is still in your kidney or if it is traveling down your ureter tube. these can be very painful but they also can be treated through surgery or a simple soundwave procedure. I also had blood in my urine, it was from the stone, and at the same time I got a UTI. So be careful! i had to have a stent in for 3 weeks, which was pretty painful itsself. Go get checked out please! It's imperative that you go to see a doctor to get antibiotics. I've never known a kidney infection/UTI/bladder infection to go away on it's own. It sounds like I had the same symptoms in February and July. I'm in the process of taking antibiotics for my UTI. I had it for 3 weeks and thinking it go away did the same as you and took some over the counter pills. Gradually it got worse where the pain was unbearable. Went tot he doctors yesterday and got some antibiotics. I feel much better today! Get urself to the doctors luv! Good Luck! all ur symptoms direct towards, probably kidney stones. often tiny stones which slide down the ureter cause severe pain and infection causing burning & bleeding while urinating. u may still have the infection. please get an x ray abdomen, or better yet an ultrasound scan and also a urine test for pus cells. ur diagnosis will be clear, and treatment for small stones are often just oral medicines You need to be put on antibiotics. The AZO pills only keep you from getting an infection. They don't make it go away. |
